Outcast is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the first chapter in the Shinobi Rising novel series which is written by DB King. He is a promising novelist of science fiction. Apocalypse Knights 1 and Academic Magic are two of the best novels that DB King has written. The listeners will have a very enjoyable and exciting time as the respective audio versions of both these recommended novels has been quite outstanding.
The audio narration of Outcast is done by Brian Nishii. You will find the narrator slipping a bit in at a few places. But, still, it was a quality voice acting overall. Andy Knight was entrusted a task on a dead-end job. He soon discovered all of his magical abilities. He was able to communicate well and at the same time harness all of the strengths of the beasts. The power was forbidden within the world of Nobu-Teng. Making things worse, Andy was an outsider.
If he employs the given powers then that would make for him absolutely no legit end for the enemies. But, that could well be the only thing that helped him to become something that he always wanted and dreamt about. It was a shinobi.
This is a very enjoyable book. It will serve as a great example to demonstrate how a Druid should be written without making them all into the forest people. There was a considerable size difference between the main and all other characters. This was the thing that bothered some of the listeners. Overall, this audio novel brings good quality entertainment so this title is highly recommended.
