Ordinary Grace Audiobook
Maturity comes with age according to the natural assumption of the people still that is not the case under all circumstances. Sometimes a boy or a girl becomes mature when he faces a certain incident in which he has to show responsibility and strength of character. A single incident can make you grow mentally at a quick pace.
Experiences like that of a war or a tragic site can make a teenager stronger than an adult on rare occasions. William Kent Krueger has portrayed such experiences in Tamarack County and Iron Lake in which an individual shows more strength than his apparent physical strength. It comes from the heart actually and not from the body. The heart provides courage under all circumstances and it is more important than muscular strength.
Frank Drum is not a man in the story and big jobs are not expected of him at the mere age of thirteen. Suddenly the boy feels that terrible things are coming towards his family and if he does not perform in such a situation then everything the family stands for will be squeezed. He must stand as the man in the family if he wants to keep the family safe and together.
The job is tough and it is above the capacity of the boy who has just touched his teenage but there is no other way for him. Running was an option for him but he does not take it because he would never be able to rise like a true masculine figure in society after running from the spot. A masculine voice is given to the character by the narrator Rich Orlow as it was the demand of the situation.
