Jodi Taylor has a history of her own, being in the libraries made her think about this series. Everything in this series is not an abrupt thought, the author has planned the whole thing for a long time, and then she started writing the thoughts in different parts of this series. The first four books of the series starting with Just One Damned Thing After Another, came in quick succession.
After the fourth book, it looked that Jodi was out of stock a little and most of the fans thought o it as the end of the series. This fifth book comes like a surprise and makes us remember books such as Another Time, Another Place. St, Mary’s is again in a running condition which means more action waits.
Mr. Markham is back on the job and there are a few worries which he still faces. The first issue is of the 17th-century ghost who no other man believes exists because only Markham can see and talk to him. The book also possesses some history lessons which come to our ears in Zara Ramm’s voice.
However, the history lessons are not boring at all because they are altered a little according to the need of the story and the demand of an ever-increasing audience. Past does not change at all in a major way but some alterations by the main character are made to make it more appealing for the ears of the listeners. Whether you are fourteen years of age or fifty the series will take you on a mesmerizing tour of different eras of the past which will make you forget the original history.
