Laina was a sensible woman and she was sure that the thing about monsters was just a piece of crap. No one in the modern era can believe in such a thing because things of this type exist in fairy tales only. Laina believed that the monster stories were based on the creative imagination of the authors only. Then one day she is told that her brother is killed by Boston cops.
The girl feels strange because her brother was not linked to anything serious in his life. The police didn’t need to kill such a lad who is not harsh in his tone but according to the police, there was something seriously wrong with the boy.
Later Laina begins to realize that monsters do exist in the real world because they start coming out of their hidings without any reason. The mythical creatures which were only present in the books previously were now roaming free on the city streets without any reason. There are werewolves who have been living among the humans without being noticed for many years and this time they are scared too.
Cadwell Turnbull has added almost all the mythical and magical creatures in this story in order to give the upcoming chaos an epic touch. Dion Graham has narrated the character of a boy with extreme care who seems to know what is happening in the human world. The boy has superpowers of his own but he wants to hide from the monsters that are trying to approach him. Don’t forget to add The Lesson to your book list because you will need this book in order to understand the concept introduced by the author.
