It is an experience to listen to this book.
Baron Minalan has figured out that there isn’t much chance to restore his wife’s shattered mind. Even with the slim chance that exists, he must undergo a fatal journey. He must be willing to visit the lair of Korbal the Necromancer, in the under caverns of Olum Seheri. Just as he realizes this, things go haywire. His liege lord Prince Tavard decides to visit Sevendor as an official state visit. He does this as a pilgrimage to the Everfire on Briga’s feast day. Simultaneously, Baron is visited by a peculiar seamage with an interesting offer. The Sea Folk wants to rule Callidore. They want to buy an entire mountain of snowstone.
Baron, the foremost wizard of the age has his problems. He also has his resources. Before the pilgrimage, gods intervene in Baron’s life before mighty actions set their course. He has no choice but to set on a seemingly impossible quest to the heart of the enemy’s realm. If he is to resolve the coming conflicts, he must visit the caverns of the dead. Furthermore, he must recover an artifact for the Sea Folk. To do that, he has to organize a raid against the most dangerous foe in humanity’s history.
Only Baron has the magic stones to defeat the mighty power of the Necromancer.
