Larry Correia presents a new monster hunter in the form of Owen Zastava who was not always this sort of a guy from the beginning. Once Owen was just an accountant and nothing else, his life was like that of a clerk and now he is in the middle of a big war with monsters involved. Old Ones i.e the bitter enemies of mankind wanted to get hold of the planet but with Owen’s genius and war skills the invasion was stopped.
Now the Old Ones want revenge of their downfall but they are not strong enough to compete in another battle. So another cult known as the Condition is ready to fulfill the mission of the Old Ones. A wanted man known as the Shadow Man is leading this cult and the government again needs Owen’s help to catch the criminal. [Monster Hunter Vendetta Audiobook]
This time however the government does not need Owen to fight rather it wants to present him as bait in front of the dangerous criminal. An agent is also hired for this purpose but he might not be enough against the cult. The Monster Hunter staff thus has prepared their own daggers too for this purpose and they are sure that they would need them soon. [Monster Hunter Vendetta Audiobook]
Oliver Wyman does not select an aggressive or hash type of tone in narration here. Things are serious in the story but they are not on the level where we can call them barbaric. It is a book full of action along with some fun which balances the evil in the story. Especially designed for the kids the novel will prove to be a good treat on a holiday night.
I’m starting to like the synopsis on this site. They don’t make any sense but it’s kind of funny and starting to grow on me.
