Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life
Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life humorous fiction audiobook for children. It is the first chapter in the Middle School novel series which is written by James Patterson and coauthored by Chris Tebbetts. Patterson is mainly an author of mystery thrillers and crime thrillers etc. but he has also written a few books for younger audiences and children, and this is one of them. Blowback and Triple Cross are two of his most significant titles and they deserved to be read or enjoyed in audio.
The audio narration of the subject title is done by Bryan Kennedy. This was supposed to be a juvenile kind of narration but that was not the case. The voice of the narrator wasn’t much suitable for the characters.
Rafe Khatchadorian had good enough problems at home and that too without throwing his very first year of middle school into the mix. Luckily, he had an ace plan for the upcoming best year ever but only if he could pull it off – With Leonardo, his best friend awarding him points, Rafe tried hard to break every rule in the oppressive Code of Conduct of his school. 5,000 points for chewing gum in class, 10,000 for running in the hallway, and 50,000 awarded for pulling the fire alarm. But when the game of Rafe began to catch up with him then he will need to decide if winning was all that mattered or if he was eventually all set up for facing the rules, truths, and bullies that he has always been avoiding.
Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life is not as funny as it was supposed to be. The pacing is slow and it seemed to be a predictable story. The narration was also not up to the mark.
