Mercy is a mystery thriller novel. It is the fourth installment in An Atlee Pine Thriller novel series. This novel is written by David Baldacci who has done incredible work in his subject genre of expertise. One excellent example of his best work is his Memory Man novel. Another worthy novel of the author to mention here is The 6:20 Man.
The audio narration of The Mercy novel is done by Brittany Pressley and Kyf Brewer. They two were excellent together as narrators and listeners had a good time with their voices. Atlee Pine, the FBI agent for all of her life has been looking for her lost twin sister. Her name was Mercy and she was abducted when she was only six years old. It was the disappearance of Mercy that left behind a shattered family which later got damaged beyond repair, especially when Atlee was abandoned by her parents inexplicably.
After a perilous investigation that almost proved to be fatal, Atlee finally found not just the reason behind the abandonment of her parents but also the abduction of Mercy. On top of that, she found something significant – It was the proof that Mercy actually survived her abduction and she safely escaped from her captors long ago.
Although Atlee was quite close to her family the final round of her long journey to Mercy would be tough. Mercy left behind one dead body before she fled her captors. Atlee didn’t know if Mercy was still alive and if so then how she managed to survive all those years? When the truth was revealed eventually then Atlee would face the biggest ever threat and that may cost her everything.
Mercy is a novel where you will find yourself in awe of the imagination of David Baldacci. He produced an outstanding storyline and his characters were simply superb.
