Seduction reaches its peak in this novel and there is no stopping once the thing takes over. Lisa Kleypas has let things flow to an extent where everything starts looking quite wild. There are wild love making scenes in the story so it is not recommended for the kids in the house. For those who have experienced love in their life, this is an ideal thing to start their listening habit.
Lady Sophia is on a mission to ruin the life of Sir Ross Cannon who appears to be a decent gentleman and he is the sort of a man who has not allowed any kind of scandal to come to him. Sophia is not going toward him for the sake of love rather she wants to take down the reputation of this one of a kind man. She remains successful in entering his house and then she starts meeting him at the breakfast table.
During this time she spends with Ross, she tries to tempt him in the best possible way and she is ready to give him everything just for the sake of scandal which she wants desperately. Even after a long time, Ross does not allow Sophia to spend the night in his bedroom which finally shows how nice a gentleman he truly is from the inside.
Sophia entered his life to ruin it and instead of that she starts protecting the reputation of this man with whom she has finally fallen in love with. There was a lot of work for the narrator Rosalyn Landor because love and treachery go on side by side in the novel. Cold-Hearted Rake has a man with the same kind of seductive looks as are visible in this novel then there is Devil in Spring with approximately the same kind of appeal.
