The fourth book of the series by Garon Whited has finally arrived and still, the problems of the king remain unresolved. Although many thought that the problems were related to the crown but now when King Halar has left the crown but the problems are still there in front of him. Troubles are mounting up and these issues might lead him to his death before time. There is one thing that Halar or Eric does not want is a death at the guillotine.
Running away from dangers had made him feel sick of his life and he is planning something big now. It seems that the Demon King is hiding but he is thinking of answering back as running or hiding might not solve the issue. Killing all the enemies appears to be the best choice but it is not easy after all his enemies are not mere humans. Fighting one at a time would also allow the other one to stab him in the back.
Fugue and Nightlord had one or two problems in them and this time the author has loaded the book with issues for the hero which he cannot solve alone. Sean Runnette does not give Halar the voice of a real warrior because the hero is not in the state of war all the time.
Also going to the battlefield or an open confrontation does seem to be part of the plan. The story is well written and the listener will find no weakness at any place. The details are attached with every character description and the scene description is given equal attention.
