Kitty and the Midnight Hour is the first installment in the Kitty Norville novel series. The book is a work of fiction and it is written by Carrie Vaughn. She is an American author of urban fantasy and science fiction novels mainly. The author so far has published more than 60 short stories in the science fiction and fantasy category. Kitty Goes to Washington is one of her finest novels and so is her Kitty and the Silver Bullet.
Marguerite Gavin is the narrator of this novel. The narrator did an excellent job and made this novel such a fantastic experience for the listeners. Kitty was a midnight-shift DJ who was working for a radio station in Denver. Moreover, she was a werewolf as well in the closet. She was quite sick and tired of the different lame song requests. ‘The Midnight Hour’ accidentally got started by her which was a late-night show with the agenda of advising the supernaturally disadvantaged creature.
After the desperate werewolves, vampires, and witches across the country started to call in to share their anguishes, her new show became a huge success. But, it was Kitty on the other side who could take in some help there. Having one extremely sexy werewolf hunter and some homicidal undead there on her tail, she could probably have bitten a lot more than what she could chew.
The book has a great story and it has a lot of humor than one would have expected. It was a slightly slow-to-start story but then it turned into a rollercoaster ride. The narrator was phenomenal and she read the main character in a spirit-filled, strong voice and without sounding bitchy, silly, or simpering.
