Junkyard Pirate

The novel is the story of a man who was just not satisfied with his life because he was nothing. Albert Jenkins was an ordinary vet and nothing else. There was a time when he wanted to be a heroic figure for a loved one but that has become an issue of the past now. He is an old man now and usually spends his time drinking. He knows that death will come to him sooner or later so he has to wait for it if he finally wants to rest in peace.

One day some pieces of a ship fall from the sky and Albert thinks that his time has come. He gets injured and was taking his last breath when an alien parasite offers a good proposal to him that he is unable to deny. The parasite offers Albert his life in exchange for his body. The parasite starts living on Albert’s body and this provides Albert with some extraordinary powers which he had never thought of before in life.

He thinks that this is a chance to relive his dreams once again and later he is told that an alien race has decided to invade earth because there is something buried deep in the earth that the aliens want. Along with the parasite, Albert also wants to save the earth from the alien attack. The problem is that no one is ready to believe both of them. So they are on their own to save the fate of the earth.

Mikael Naramore has not changed his voice of Albert when the parasite takes over because only his personality changes thus a change in voice was not needed. Junkyard Raiders and Junkyard Spaceship are other parts of the series written by the same author with the same care. There is fun in these stories but not the type which can make you laugh out loud.
