Passion just gets ignited in the story from the beginning as the two lovers come close to each other. No boundary is there to stop them from lovemaking, they get so much busy in the relationship which is developing between them that they forget all about the consequences. Whether it is the enemies or the circumstances that are knitting strange webs around them, the two love birds are not afraid. Amy A. Bartol writes quite passionately the feelings of the female when she finally gets the chance to sleep with her mate for the first time.
It is like a dream come true for her and she is not showing any kind of reluctance against the dangerous experiment. Every single touch of Brennus just makes her lose herself in his arms. Even if she gets killed in the process she does not care because those moments with Brennus are of everlasting pleasure for her. Emily Woo Zeller has produced the lazy sounds too in the narration to give the story a complete impact. This does not make it suitable for the kids who do not know sex and other physical pleasures.
For the adults who are trying to find some lost passion in life, it is a gift like Incendiary and Darken the Stars before this.
The novel tells us the madness present in the passion of love. It is this one passion that makes us forget everything that is happening around us. Even if one gets burned in the process there is no issue of any kind for him or her because these worthy moments with the mate are matchless.
