But when the two meet Reed behaves in an extraordinary way, the boy tries to get rid of Evie and loathes her presence too. One thing is clear that Evie’s life is totally doomed because now she has realized that at Crestwood everything will get its final shape for her. Emily Woo Zeller narrates the novel which is different than Intuition and Indebted but it is captivating in the same way. Amy has the tendency to present complex characters and here even the relationship of the boy and girl is complicated. We cannot tell that whether they love each other from the inside or they are slowly developing hate for each other in their hearts.
Inescapable
For Evie her future was dark from the beginning, the dreams which she used to have in the past are all becoming true. Trouble is that she is having more visions now and if those visions also become true than her life would be ruined forever. Whether she could run away from all of that or not is the original question which is there in her mind all the time. Author Amy Bartol makes her main female character shift places in confusion until she reaches Crestwood and thinks she is safe from all kinds of troubles if she remains there. Also in that new place Evie sees light in the form of a boy who is always around her wherever she goes. Reed appeals her and whenever she wishes to see him he is there on the next corner. It looks like he is keeping an eye on her or perhaps he too likes her.
