Evie has worked hard for her place in the world and the time for her departure has finally come. She has been guided by her visions all her life and those visions have always come true. This time it is the vision in which she saw herself dying away. The place is the same and so is the condition of the surrounding. One thing is different i.e the weather which is not pinching her and this is one thing that goes against her dreams. But she is moving on because she knows what she has to do, she is getting direct guidelines from the heavens and there is no doubt in her mind.
There are chances that her mind is playing tricks with her but she is not trying to focus on any of those thoughts. It seems that she wants all of this to happen as she has become dejected from her life. Giving all of it away is not a wise thing to do but the main character of the series is finally short of hope which she needs.
Amy Bartol paints the sure end of the heroine and then brings her back for the story once again. The sudden shift in the voice of Emily Woo Zeller and the mood of the story change everything here. Just close the books such as Inescapable and Intuition so that you can concentrate on this emotional journey.
Not a lot of things get answered here but the sad mood and then the emergence of a new Evie grips our mind strongly. Fighting against dejected feelings is always hard and then in this book, Evie even fights against her visions which have been teasing her for a very long time.
