Harley Merlin is not a new character as most of us already know what the man is capable of. Bella Forrest has created many characters for the fantasy world and Harley Merlin is one of the finest among the lot. Merlin is not of the kind who will appear as a genuine hero at the beginning of the story, it is after watching her moves for a while that we come to know the abilities which she possesses.
Amanda Ronconi’s voice is perfect for Merlin in this novel. Harley Merlin is on the run since the beginning of this story because things went out of control in her coven. Katherine is now in power and she wants to destroy all of them so that she can rule supreme after eradicating them. Harley has Finch and Wade on her side so she cannot say that she is alone. Together this outnumbered team searches for something that can help them in the fight against a powerful rival.
As Katherine grows more in power, the threat seems to multiply and Merlin has no other option but to head home and look for something useful which her parents might leave for her. The magical detector was not there in Harley Merlin 2: Harley Merlin and the Mystery Twins and Harley Merlin 3: Harley Merlin and the Stolen Magicals but now it is complete in this part.
Katherine wants to reach the magical detector, she doesn’t want to see the completion of this device while on the other hand, Harley Merlin wants to reach it first. The entire story is like a race between good and evil, the interaction of the enemies takes place at the climax.
