Hammered

Hammered is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the third installment in the Iron Druid Chronicles. The book is a product of Kevin Hearne as its writer. He is known for writing excellent urban fantasy and science fiction. It was his novel named Tricked that managed to get itself registered in the bestselling list of New York Times. The author also received nominations for his novels for Audie Award in paranormal and fantasy categories. Ink & Sigil is another brilliant novel from Kevin Hearne that will be worth your time.

Luke Daniels grabbed the opportunity of narrating this novel with both hands. He was excellent with this novel having different moods of characters. Thor is known as the thunder Norse god. He is worse than a bully and a blowhard. So far, he has ruined a number of lives and at the same time, killed countless innocents as well. After many centuries, Leif Helgarson, Viking vampire is ready to take his revenge. He has reached out to Atticus O’Sullivan who is his friend and also the last of Druids. The intent was to get down the Norse nightmare.

One of the key strategy for survival has been productive for Atticus for a period of more than two thousand years. The strategy was to stay away from the man having the lightning bolts. But, things were getting out of control and quite heated up in Tempe, Arizona. It was the home base of Atticus. A vampire turf war was brewing there. Things were getting more challenging to manage.

Hammered is an awesome novel with a good mix of mythology. It also has its share of humor along with some excellent paranormal adventure of high stakes. The pace of this novel was a bit let down as it was quite slow.
