War started between the kingdoms of the land and while they were busy with their issues they were unaware of the danger that was emerging. The evil God Torak was spreading its deadly fangs and was carefully planning the whole thing for the regaining of the old reign.
Now while the forces of the kingdom are weak Torak comes back to the surface and according to prophesy only one hero can outsmart the evil god. All the hints lead to Garion and he stands tall against the enemy who is mightier in strength. After a tough battle, the evil god is destroyed finally and peace once again reigns supreme on the land.
David Eddings i.e the author of the series portrays the end of the war but originally it is not the case. The war has just started and everything that seems to be true is just another smokescreen for the people of the land. Garion has defeated the evil god but the thing is not permanent and more evil forces are there in the hiding waiting for the right time to come to the surface.
The only difference that can be observed in this story as compared to Pawn of Prophecy and Castle of Wizardry is that it goes up and down many times. At times we get the gesture that the narrator Cameron Beierle is ending the story because everything is settled and the next moment the game changes the battle heat can again be felt. Evil does not end with the end of the war rather it keeps on flourishing in a hidden way which means more danger will come to the hero after some time.
