Garth Nix provides the listeners a complete opportunity to enjoy fantasy tales up to the maximum level. The stories which Garth weaves, stand up tall among the rest of the fantasy books. This one starts right where the previous book of the series ended and Lirael is seen without a hand as she lost her hand in the bloody fight. As a reward, she gets a new hand which is made of metal and has a touch of magic in it. At the end of the battle when everything was solved, Lirael decided to go back to her home so that she can be rest a while and spend some time in the memories of the past.
When she approached her house suddenly the things of the past grabbed her mind. Along with those memories she also received a letter from her mother, in which she told her about the Witch with No Face. The witch was coming for her and the rest of the land, all of it meant one thing i.e Lirael’s day of resting was over.
Lirael must locate the witch before she comes to the land with her hidden agenda. The empire and Lirael are once again in danger and this time the enemy is not visible which makes everything more threatening.
Sabriel and Lirael are the two books that are connected to this book in one way or the other so it would make a nice combination if you get one of these along with this book. Heather Wilds’ narration is better than before and the narrator has a habit of providing more than a hundred percent in all situations.
