Usually, the stories tell us about the benefits of science as it is used to save life on most occasions, here in Mary Shelley’s world the scientific genius is ready to create life. Victor Frankenstein is a boy who has the skills of a scientist and the looks of a lover so he has everything and he wants to achieve more in life.
He starts bringing life to his creation and he thinks that he would be famous when he will do that but he makes a little miscalculation. The life that he brings to the world is monstrous and that evil force was surely not helping him in his life. Frankenstein tries to control or stop the monster which he brought to the human world but it gets out of control.
Not only the monster gets out of control, it also snatches everything from its creator within moments of its creation. Frankenstein feels helpless in front of his creation and the guilt just starts torturing him from the inside. Love and friendship are the things that were needed at that time of crisis and Frankenstein gets deprived of that too.
He loses his love and then his friends and he is only left with the horror which he has brought to his world. Dan Stevens pours real feelings here in the years of the listeners because he is the narrator of this tragedy. And Then There Were None and Letters to a Young Poet are tragic and they also end in a bit of sadness but here the poor creature i.e Frankenstein loses everything. He wants to die even but nothing works in his favor.
