Stories about the world of vampires and shifters have remained the strength of the author Dannika Dark. Dannika describes this world of horrors like none other currently present in the field of literature. Mostly we get the hint that perhaps the author has visited a world of this kind in real because of which he is able to describe it so correctly.
Ivy is seen with the Weston pack at the start of the book and she is quite satisfied too. Nicole Poole’s narration tells the listeners how satisfied Ivy is from the inside. She thinks that finally, she is home i.e a place where she can live with peace of mind. An attack on Ivy’s wolf was an unexpected thing for her because she thought that her enemies are not present around her anymore. The thing does not stop here rather a sequence of adventures follow this one event later on.
Lorenzo Church gets his introduction in the later part of the novel. He too is a Packmaster which makes him another powerful being in the world. One Second and Sterling also introduced the other characters in the latter portion, this has been a fashion that Dannika has adopted in the novels.
Lorenzo is presented as a stern guy who does not want to establish any relation with a female anymore after his first bad experience. When he meets Ivy, a girl straight from America like him showing resistance becomes difficult for him. The Packmaster tries to control himself but just cannot take his eyes from the female whom he desires as his mate. Together the two start a mission and during the mission get engaged in a relationship.
