Foundation (Apple Series Tie-in Edition)

Foundation (Apple Series Tie-in Edition) is chapter one of the Foundation novel series. This is a hard science fiction classic and it is written by Isaac Asimov. He was a genius Russian-born American author and also a professor at Boston University USA in the biochemistry department. Asimov for his superb writing skills was considered one of the ‘Big Three’ writers of the science fiction genre. The other two were Arthur C. Clarke and Robert A. Heinlein. He has been a writer or editor of at least 500 books. Apart from Foundation, he got a lot of appreciation for his I, Robot novel as well. On top of that, Foundation and Empire from his same Foundation series are also one of his best science fiction works.

Scott Brick is here with the narration of this version of the Foundation novel. He was stunning with his performance. There were a few audio production issues reported which were momentarily and it took away nothing from the great performance of Scott Brick.

The galactic Empire for 12,000 years has ruled all over supremely. But it had started to deteriorate. Only the creator of the revolutionary psychohistory science, Hari Seldon could see the future that was fast approaching. It was leading them all to a very gloomy age of barbarism, ignorance, and warfare. All of this would last for thirty thousand years. To save humanity and for preserving the knowledge gained, Hari Seldon gathered some of the most intelligent minds of the Empire. Those included scholars and scientists. He brought them to a bleak planet that was right at the edge of the galaxy. The purpose was to serve there as a guiding light of hope which was meant for all future generations. That sanctuary by him was called the Foundation.

Foundation is an epic saga and the inspiration behind the Apple TV+ series, Foundation. It is nominated as one of the best-loved American novels by The Great American Read of PBS.
