Forging Hephaestus is the opening title of the Villain’s Code novel series. It is a science fiction and fantasy chapter and it is written by Drew Hayes. He is from Texas, USA, and has written several books. There is more than one novel from the author which you could enjoy. His Out of House and Home is a very nice one and it promises nonstop entertainment for all fiction lovers. After this one, Bones of the Past is yet another sensational title from Drew Hayes.
The audio narration of this novel is done by Amy Landon. There were mixed reviews by listeners about the performance. They found the narrator sometimes with good vocal variations and at times, Amy’s voice look dry and mechanized.
Tori Rivas was gifted with some astonishing meta-human powers. It was all in a world that was full of villains and capes. She was kept aside from the limelight and was more willing to work as a thief underneath the shadows. But, the time when she got captured while attempting to rob a vault then she had to make a very hard choice.
That vault belonged to a secret association of villains. They asked her to prove herself what it takes to join them or just be eliminated. She was apprenticed to one of the most resourceful villains of the world. She was thrust right into a weird world. That was the place where the lines that divide criminals from superheroes were quite complex as they appear to be.
The story was just about fine. There were some plot holes there. The characters seem to be good and engaging. The performance was not that great.
