Fledgling

Nicole Conway produces strong heroes all the time, the male characters which the author has painted are all full of passion and potential. Avian and Immortal have provided the same kind of heroes i.e with muscular power and a zeal to survive. Jaevid is not the hero type because he has tried to avoid any kind of confrontation with the warriors. He is a mixed race sort of a guy which means that he has no place on both sides.

Only the rich can get the training linked to riding a dragon after which they can take part in an open battle. Jaevid has no opportunity of that sort in front of him so all he can do is hide in order to keep his true identity hidden all the time. Once he was trying to mind his own business when a dragon came in front of him and to his surprise, the dragon showed a friendly gesture.

It was a new thing for the people at the Blybrig Academy. For a long time, there has been no dragon who has shown willingness to select a rider of his own. Though Jaevid was not the type who could be selected in the academy but still he was taken in as a special case. The training was tough but Jaevid was happy to notice that for the first time in his life he was getting some sort of attention.

Then on one occasion, he noticed that his instructor Sile was captured by the royal guard in the middle of the night. Jaevid wanted to save him but the rest of the riders were not interested in the mission as they were afraid of the king. Jaevid started the mission on his own and this started a new chapter of his life that wasn’t boring at all. Jesse Einstein’s narration at the climax and end will amaze you for sure.
