The humans became an advanced race in the opening part of the series and they started to develop colonies among other planets of the galaxy.
It was a grand success and surely the power and the potential of the human race increased a lot. Then from the stars, the enemies started coming. It seemed that they wanted the humans to go back to their domain and never try to set foot in the alien zone.
Colonies of the Chain fought back with their full capacity and soon the aliens just stopped coming. The humans thought that they had seen the last of the alien invaders.
Well the assumption was wrong because the aliens were coming to inspect the potential of the humans and the first encounters were just a test and nothing else. The real war is coming because the aliens have prepared a big army for a deadly showdown.
B.V. Larson introduces a strange hero once again i.e Captain Bill Gorman. Bill is not a hero actually as in reality he happens to be a smuggler. He used to loot people in the past and the alien fighters started coming. Bill and his team have fought against the aliens too and they are the only group in the galaxy who know what is coming towards the colony.
They have the opportunity to run away and save their own skin but they have decided in a different way for this situation. Mark Boyett i.e the narrator of the story should be given a lot credit for his hard work as he has made a lot of effort to make the book more interesting.
Don’t underestimate the quality of City World and Ice World too. All of these books are written with same kind of concentration and focus. The author has never produced anything less superior in his life.
