He is the bestselling New York Times author of over 25 books. This includes the subject bestselling series, The Spellmonger. If you want to know about a few good novels of the author then you must start with Footwizard. After this one, you will also like his Shadowplay novel as well.
The audio narration of Enchanter’s novel is done by John Lee. This was a superb performance and probably the best thing about this audiobook. Minalan was the spellmonger who was up against the boredom of being house arrest. This was done after getting confined by Prince Tavard to his lands. It was meant for his defiance with the refugees of Wilderlands. The Alka Alon had made a return back to the seclusion while dealing with their own set of crises. The dead quiet remained quiet within Umbra and the plans of Minalan for reestablishing a functional Duchy of Alshar were moving forward quite well.
Minalin took his punishment as a special opportunity for him to spent time on thaumaturgical research. When a tide of enchanters was brought in by the Sevendor Magic Fair then Minalin employed all his wealth and other resources to make them stay in Sevendor for the winter. The idea was to make them focus on the new art of enchantment.
The book was slow-paced more than half of it. It just picked up pace in the last quarter and came to a satisfying ending. If you don’t have patience then this novel is not for you.
