This is the story about the creation of a painkiller that goes on for three generations in a row. The Sackler family had a dramatic life throughout their history. At first, there were three brothers who faced terrible circumstances during the era of the war. Patrick Radden Keefe has taken original names from the history books to make the story look more effective.
The Great Depression really landed the family in the pit of poverty. Raymond, Arthur, and Mortimer never wanted to end their life in such a depressing way so they started working on different ideas. Arthur was the cleverest one of the lot so he started working on the issues of drug addicts.
After a short while, Arthur bought a pharmaceutical firm and he started an ad firm for his brothers as well. The business flourished quite rapidly by all means and the family became rich within no time. Later in the third generation, Arthur’s grandson played a little too far and he created a drug that affected the lives of thousands of people.
The family had the power to influence many of the firms of that era but this one thing resulted in their downfall. Say Nothing is another treat for the fans and those with more interest in the same line can count on Rogues. At some point, this book will look more like a history book but it is written in an interesting manner. The ups and downs in the family business is described in a dramatic way to keep the interest of the audience alive so this credit goes to the author only and no one else.
