Arthur does not possess a spirit for adventure but he does not run away from a mission either when he is given one. Currently, when the story starts, Arthur is found in the hospital and he has not been preparing for any mission for a very long time. Drowned Wednesday gives Arthur an invitation to visit the House. Arthur thinks that it is a good opportunity to visit his house but once again he misunderstands the thing and everything becomes clear when a ship comes to take Arthur to his destination.
Arthur was quite sure that his house was not near any ocean so once again he was going on a mission and not his house. On the way, he fights pirates and villains who don’t even exist in fairy tales. He had saved himself and his friends on a number of occasions still he thinks that getting out of this deadly ocean is impossible.
Anyhow he has to retrieve the last part of the Will which is very much important also there is something about a lost key that has its own significance in the mission. If Arthur fails in completing this task then millions will suffer afterward and he does not want that to happen.
Garth Nix’s famous and favorite books are Sabriel and Goldenhand but now this one has also become a part of the list. Action is best depicted by the narrator Allan Corduner and things just keep on going more and more intense in this novel. Everyone seems to be after the key and Arthur wants to know the reason behind the thing first of all.
