Down in New Orleans Audiobook
Ann and Jon used to have a very good life and then they got separated because they thought that they weren’t good for one another. Although they had those differences they never got annoyed by each other’s company. So even after many years of their divorce they were close friends and were bold enough to discuss any matter of their life with each other.
Ann thinks that Jon’s hometown is a good place to live and he seems to be with her all the time whenever she needs him. One day Jon just came to Ann’s house and he was covered in blood. He told Ann that he was wanted by the police for the murder of a stripper but he didn’t kill anyone rather someone is trying to frame him.
Ann after all these years is sure of the thing that her ex-husband is not a killer. Now the question arises that why someone was trying to frame an innocent man for murder. When Ann finds no help from the surrounding she decides to take the investigation into her own hands and this makes her land in the pit of trouble as well. The lieutenant who was investigating the case also became Ann’s enemy and the real killer also wants Ann to stop the investigation or he has a bullet loaded for her as well.
Heather Graham takes the story deep in the novel and the depth makes us think of A Lethal Legacy and Voice of Fear especially after listening to the voice of Lauren Ezzo. For Ann life had always been a piece of cake and this time she is going to see the dark side of life by going to the underworld of the town that she has started loving.
