On the different highways all across America, there was The True Knot, a tribe of people who used to travel far and wide in search of sustenance. Those were mostly old people and harmless. They had lots of polyester with them and were kind of married to their RVs. But just as Dan Torrance knew and the 12 years old Abra learned, that tribe was quasi-immortal. They were living right odd the ‘steam’ which the children from the ‘shining’ would produce when they were tortured to death in a very slow manner.
Dan was deeply haunted by the residents of the Overlook Hotel where he spent one full year of his childhood. Since then, he has been drifting for many years and was desperate to shed the legacy of alcoholism, violence, and despair of his father…
