Whenever Andrew Rowe starts a new series the author puts a lot of stuff like weapons into it which makes the war scenes more interesting. In this novel, it is Keras who has the Scared Sword of Light which makes him prominent among the rest in the tournament. The tournament of the Sacred Swords is not an ordinary one as all the members who have taken part in it are with superpowers.
This time they have gathered in Edria where the competition is for the Sacred Sword of Stone. The task is not easy because first, all the competitors have to take part in combat against each other after that the winner will get a chance to fight with the wielder of the Sacred Sword of Stone. If the competitor succeeds in defeating the wielder then he would be able to lay his hands on the sword. [Diamantine AudioBook]
This is not all; there is more danger that is coming to the arena. Someone is killing the competitors one by one and it looks like Keras’ number is not far behind in the list. Struggles like in The Torch That Ignites the Stars and Six Sacred Swords are present in this second part. Nick Podehl’s one-of-a-kind narration also makes the series look more interesting from young fans’ point of view. [Diamantine AudioBook]
The vibrant energy in the tournament can be felt through the voice of Nick who does not slow down anywhere. Even when Keras is in trouble the narration still goes on in the same motion. For every wielder of the sword the energy level of the narrator remains the same thus, we don’t feel much of a difference between these competitors.
