Diablo: The Sin War, Book 1: Birthright is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the opening chapter of the series and what a grand start it had. The book is written by Richard A. Knaak. He writes excellent science fiction and fantasy novels and has many credible series to his name. If we talk about his novels specifically then The Well of Eternity: Blizzard Legends is by far his best work. Other than this The Legend of Huma is also a very special novel by Richard A. Knaak.
Richard Halverson did the narration of the subject title. The performance went flat and you will find no emotion in the voice of the narrator. Even in the action scenes, you will not notice any change in his voice.
The angelic forces that belonged to the High Heavens and the demonic groups of the Burning Hells were locked in intense conflict since the start of time. The conflict was for the fate of Creation. The struggle had been quite long and it had been bifurcated into Sanctuary. It was considered to be the world of men. The forces of evil and good were all determined to triumph humanity over their causes. A secret war was initiated for the sake of mortal souls. That was the story of the Sin War which was a conflict capable of changing the destiny of men forever.
The story is nice for coming to terms with the uprising of the nephalem. The chapters seemed to be running into each other with no pause at all and that made it difficult to track things along with the poor narration by Halverson to go with.
