Dead Beat is the seventh installment in The Dresden Files. This suspenseful mystery thriller is written by Jim Butcher. The American author is known for his excellent work in the same The Dresden Files. If one of the best chapters of the series is to be named then Changes: The Dresden Files, Book 12 will make a very obvious choice. Moreover, Cold Days is another outstanding novel by the author.
The audio narration of Dead Beat is done by James Marsters. He continued in the series with his signature style of narration and made it a very pleasant experience for the listeners yet again.
The story of Dead Beat started with the mention of a killer vampire. The time when that vampire threatened to destroy the reputation of Karrin Murphy, the head of Special Investigation he had no choice ahead. That was the case unless Harry delivers to her the influential Word of Kemmler. Harry was then in a challenging race against time. The mission was to find the Word and that too well ahead of Chicago goes on to experience a Halloween night meant for waking up the dead.
The transition for the listeners will be very smooth to the Dead Beat novel from the last chapter of the series. The momentum carried forward from the previous adventures of Dresden will be dominated this time with excellent suspense. All of that suspense built could be seen coming up to a stirring conclusion. The story of Harry will continue to entertain you who could be seen this time getting a much-deserved wizardly promotion. Moreover, there will also be a love triangle going on here.
