But things soon chance when she discovered herself one night with a completely unexpected ally. He was a vampire, but he was very different. He was handsome and mysterious. On top of that, he was far more interested in saving her skin that to drain them. Etienne since always has been an Immortal Guardian for 200 years. That was long enough time to know that Krysta was kind of very special. He just couldn’t stop thinking about her long legs. Soon he discovered that the vampires she was exterminating had many friends in the high places. And then the Guardians were in danger too.

The story of Darkness Rises is amazing. The characters of the book have the greatest personalities through the impeccable performance given by the narrator. Moreover, it is also the plot that just gets thicker.
