Cross Country is a mystery suspense thriller. It is the 14th book in An Alex Cross Thriller novel series and it is the most acknowledged work of author James Patterson. Along Came a Spider (25th Anniversary Edition) is the most recognized and loved book of the author. On top of that, you will have guaranteed entertainment with The Cornwalls Are Gone novel by the author as well.
The audio narration of the Cross Country novel is done by Peter J. Fernandez and Dion Graham. It was not a satisfactory performance as Alex almost throughout this book sounded like a rookie whinny investigator.The home of Ellie Cox turned into a worst and terrible murder scene. He was one of the oldest friends of Alex Cross and he hasn’t ever seen a crime scene as horrifying as that one. The destruction there led him to believe that he was after a terrible new breed of murderer. Just when Alex and Brianna Stone, his girlfriend found themselves entangled in the dangerous underworld of Nigeria within Washington D. C., the things they discovered there were extremely shocking.
There was a highly organized gang of deadly teenagers who were headed by a diabolical, influential man. He was known as Tiger, the African warlord. Just when the detectives came to believe that they were quite close to catching the elusive killer, Tiger just disappeared all of a sudden into thin air. Alex tracked him to Africa ad he knew that he must look to follow Alone.
People had very high hopes for this book since it is written by James Patterson. This book was not that good. The story is weak and slow-paced. If you are new to the Alex Cross series then please do not start it with this one.
