Lisa Kleypas selects something that has taken place in the past and then the author portrays that love story in the latest fashion. Devil in Spring and Devil in Winter just stole our hearts away within no time.
It was because of these stories that the author became famous among a huge audience within no time. The primary character in the novel, Devon Ravenel gets the chance to inherit an earldom. He wasn’t expecting that kind of thing in life and when he gets the chance, he thinks that he should not deny the thing. However, the property which he inherits happens to be in debt. Also, the daughters and the widow of the previous owner are still living in the big mansion.
When Devon puts his eyes on the widow, he thinks that he must possess her as well because he can do anything to have such beauty in his grasp. Kathleen knows that men like Devon are not to be trusted but she too cannot control her developing attraction for him. The connection between the two was just electric the moment they saw each other.
Now the question is whether they can establish a permanent relationship between themselves or not.
