It is the hand of Faith Hunter which created the Jane Yellowrock series in a such marvelous way. From that series originated the story of Nell Ingram who too has a strange kind of magic that she draws from the earth. At first, she wasn’t aware of her powers and she used to be scared at times too because of her strange behavior.
After joining PsyLED she understood her true purpose in life and also realized that there were more like her in the world. While working for the department she has been able to garnish her potential and she has proved quite useful to the world from which she used to run away. Head agent Rick is the one who leads this special team and he has the power to turn into a panther when the moon appears.
One night he calls Nell to a stranded place and when she reaches there, she finds Rick sitting naked on the spot. Rick didn’t know how he got there in the first place and there was a dead cat quite near him in a witch circle. It was a strange spectacle and after that, more animals started to appear dead and everyone was sure that a blood witch has appeared on the scene.
Like always Khristine Hvam narrated Nell as an individual who can think outside of the box. She thinks that Rick is hiding something quite important and perhaps he has not been that much honest with them since the beginning. Final Heir amazed us with the story and Junkyard War stunned us. This book is ready to cross both lines in a single blow. The story not only amazes us it also develops a fear of black magic.
