It is all about Riley from the first line of the novel written by S.E. Smith. While the story is on earth the main character which we deal with is Riley and although we hear about her boss and the people working in her surrounding none of them proves to be special. During her job, she was quite satisfied but the behavior of the boss used to pinch her rare moments.
One day she found out something which could have her killed like other members of the staff. She didn’t try to contact the police and hurried home to save her skin. On her way, she met a stranger and quickly she found herself in outer space. The girl was not ready for all this and even when she finds herself in space she thought that she was just dreaming about the entire thing and will wake up after a while or so. In space, a war was going on between Vox and Valdier i.e the two kings.
Vox was tricked and trapped by Valdier and now he is among the miners on foreign soil. Vox never had a proper mate because he liked to be among so many females which were there to please him all the time. Because of this attitude, Vox never had a son who could become heir to the throne after him.
Now in this miserable condition, he meets Riley and decides to make her his queen. The only problem is that he is too far away from his throne and Riley does not believe that he is a king. The tale is not a blend of Roam’s Valentine Wish or The King’s Quest, the start gives such a notion but it is not true at all. It is a completely new thing that David Brenin has narrated dashingly.
