Faith Hunter started collecting these stories in a single book long ago and here the author has finally managed to collect most of the gems in one book. This single book has thirteen parts of the Jane Yellowrock series. The parts are not in sequence rather a few of them are randomly selected by the author because he wanted the best compiled in this single book.
Jane is actually the shape-shifting skinwalker who is one of a kind as she has the power to kill vampires who have been ruling the dark for centuries. These vampires thought that no ordinary being could defeat them but now the world has Jane who can even the odds for everyone. Khristine Hvam has narrated these stories in an individual way as well and now as a combined book, the stories are still in the same voice.
Those who have heard a few of these stories in the past will feel no difference in this book as well. Her soul got mixed with the mountain lion’s soul when she was a little child because she was performing black magic unintentionally. So she has the power to kill vampires now as she is not affected by their fangs or magical powers.
This book also has the base on certain happenings in the series like the way Molly became Jane’s friend. Also, the legend behind the tattoos of Rick gets described here. Final Heir and Skinwalker are single stories so they might look less attractive because the variety of themes lack in books with a single story. As far as the characters are concerned, they are almost the same in every book of the same series.
