The life of Kaylin Neva has been decorated with different tragedies and some extraordinary happenings. The detective likes such things because she wants to live an active life not full of troubles of course. But she has been lucky as well in her life for example the incident when the strange egg that she had in her possession absorbed the energy of the bomb that could have destroyed everything around her.
The last female dragon is with her as her roommate and this brings more troubles to her bed but she is not horrified only a little tense or confused on certain occasions. There are issues in another state where people are disappearing fast and Kaylin is called for help or perhaps she was interested in the thing. Now when she comes to the place she comes to know that the danger is just too big for her to handle.
Saying no was not in her hands anymore so she prepares her mind to get over all the fears and finish the job without losing her life. Khristine Hvam does not try to thrill the listeners rather the narrator keeps calm and provides excellent clarity to the story.
Michelle Sagara’s performance in Cast in Conflict and Cast in Shadow was equal to this book so one can choose any of these books if he wants. All these stories have a steady climb towards the climax and when the climax is concluded is also in slow motion. Getting things hasty is not the style of the author and this is one of the differences as compared to the other authors.
