Christopher Paolini begins the third part of this series, the first two parts introduced us to Eragon and his dragon. In Eragon we came to know a boy who was working on his farm one day when he found the egg of a dragon. The dragon was named Saphira by the boy and both formed a bond between them. When the king came to know about the dragon, he at once sent his forces to kill the dragon just like the others that he killed many years ago.
Eragon and his dragon escaped from the place right in time after which they joined the resistance. They met the previous dragon rider as well whose dragon was killed by the army of the king. Now all hopes were on Eragon because only he and his dragon were able to fight against the powerful tyrant.
Inheritance also tells us more about the imaginary world of the author and this one is like the finale because both sides are finally ready for a showdown. Eragon knows the purpose of his dragon in this world and being a dragon rider he must take the fight back to the cruel king who has tortured the people of the land for this long. The dragon and the dragon rider have finished their training and the rebels are also ready to attack the castle.
The narration has changed a little because the narrator Gerard Doyle wanted to describe the intensity clearly. It is the intensity that plays a vital role in these kinds of stories. One thing is for sure i.e after the fight one of the sides is going down forever.
