Blood of Tyrants is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the 8^th volume in the Temeraire novel series. The book is awesomely written by Naomi Novik. She is an American writer known for writing amazing speculative fiction and fantasy novels. You will be thoroughly amazed by her work in The Last Graduate novel. Another brilliant novel from the author is A Deadly Education.

The audio narration of Blood of Tyrants novel is done by Simon Vance. It is needless to mention that how good he was with his vocal performance while giving distinct and distinguishable voices to all characters.

Laurence was stranded and cast onto the dry land in Japan. He had no memory of Temeraire and neither nay of his experiences as an aviator from England. He discovered himself trapped in some deadly political machinations. He was threatened for his life and as well as the precarious position of England in the Far East. Old foes along with the suspicions have managed to turn the entire region into a sort of powder keg. It was all set to erupt if provided with the tiniest of sparks. It could be a spark that Temeraire and Laurence could provide unwittingly while exposing Britain to their new set of enemies. This was the time when they were required to have much more of the allies instead.

The book overall is a reasonably good read or listen. The story had some flaws and at one point, you will feel that it is not going anywhere. Simon Vance with his spectacular performance covered quite a lot while keeping the listeners interested till it ended.
