The quest for the sacred arts brings Lindon and Yerin to the Blackflame Empire. Lindon started the training from the first step, although it was a time-consuming thing which he started there was no other way to fight against the enemy. The enemy has no weakness at all and defeating him on an open battlefield is almost impossible for any warrior.
Lindon after mastering the sacred arts might be able to confront this devil in a better way but it does not mean that he would have bright chances of winning the duel. Here in the Blackflame Empire, there is a legend that an old clan has left ancient magic which can be mastered if one is committed. Mastering that magic is tough because no one knows about it completely and then there are those rivals who don’t want to see Lindon growing in power.
Taking chances and availing of opportunities is the right way to move further in this kind of situation. Unsouled and Wintersteel told the fans about the dramatic skills of Will Wight and this proves that the author can write fighting scenes to perfection.
At each step in the novel, there is a struggle which is described by the narrator Travis Baldree in a clear voice. For Lindon starting from the first step was a hard thing to digest but shortcuts are not going to help him in anything against an enemy who is equal to the devil in powers. No mercy is shown by either side in this war and the winner would be the one who would be standing alive at the end of the battle.
Doesn’t work.
