Decades ago a few gems were lost in a heist and according to many those gems were really rare ones. Now in the present day, someone has started collecting those gems once again. That person who has started collecting those gems is mad enough to kill for them as well. Eve Dallas wants to stop him before he takes more lives and her husband thinks that he can help her in the case because he knows a few gem collectors too.

Susan Ericksen has once again made sure that there is no pause in the narration so once the story starts then it moves like smooth-flowing water. The killer is not a mad person rather he is a mastermind who can easily get what he wants by playing with the minds of his opponents.
