Court Gentry used to work for the CIA in the old days and he was the best assassin for the department. During his career, he has learned that he can trust no one and surviving is the key in every kind of circumstance. With these simple rules in mind, he has been able to go on with his life till now. He didn’t want any kind of trouble in his retired life so he got settled in the Amazon rain forest where ordinary people are sometimes hard to find.
Gentry thought that he would be safe from all kinds of troubles in that part of the world but he was wrong. The Russian crime lord had been trying to track him down for a very long time and now he has found Gentry in the rainforest. The enemy thought that it had cornered Gentry but that was a wrong perception.
The hero of The Gray Man and Dead Eye once again finds a way out of trouble and he goes straight to his friend Eddie who has saved his life in the past. When Gentry reaches Eddie he finds out that the man has been killed by the Mexican cartel. Gentry feels quite sad and angry because Eddie saved his life once and now he was not able to save Eddie’s life.
Jay Snyder narrates these scenes in a sad tone to show that Gentry is finally angry and he is not running or hiding anymore. The assassin created by the author Mark Greaney is back in action and he is going to kill each and every bad guy present on his list.
