The book has two parts of the series written by Michael Stephen Fuchs and narrated by the master storyteller i.e R.C. Bray. There are two teams of marines who are in helpless condition because they are not fighting against the humans rather they are fighting against zombies. There is death that is hovering over their heads but they cannot just wait for it to come and take their lives. They are the last hope for mankind and they are trying to make it sure that they don’t waste the last chance to save humanity.
At the end of the first part, we observe that the marines finally make their way out of the big mess although North America goes down because of the undead the marines are back to the base. From here the second mission starts in which the Raiders are sent to the shore where they have to keep an eye on special kinds of supplies that are quite important for everyone.
The supplies contain the weapons which these soldiers need in order to survive on the battlefield because the battle has not ended. The enemy is getting more and more powerful and in this situation, the Raiders are in need of powerful weapons. Carnage and The Flood were nothing compared to the action and suspense which is present in the two stories of this book.
There is also horror and a sense of thrill which is magnetic. It is hoped that the humans will survive at the end of the war but they would never be the same, physically and psychologically. After the things which the marines have gone through, they certainly don’t want to lose from here on.
