Gladiator Angron has a big task at hand because he is finally given a task by his father i.e the Emperor. The Emperor was leading the crusade during which he was able to find his mission sons as well. Now the final one i.e Angron is also found and the Emperor wants him to act on his orders once again. Angron never liked his father because he took away from Angron his true personality.
Now Angron is not the same man anymore rather he is the destroyer of the world. When he gives his children an order to start an attack on the world, the children get astonished and some of them think that this is not the right decision on the part of their father. They want to oppose Angron because they think that he has made a mistake. However, none of them try to look deep into the mind and heart of Angron in order to know who he really is from the inside.
The real personality is still hidden somewhere deep and all the children have to do is to bring that real personality of their father out. Ian St Martin wrote a short story before this and here the story moves where the short story ended. Thus it is compulsory to listen to that story first before listening to this novel.
We are taken once again into the world that we saw in the stories like The Adeptus Astarters Audio Collection and Of Honour and Iron by the voice of Jonathan Keeble. The fight is outside in this novel but the real clash is on the inside of the main characters.
