He was very much aware through Claire, his time-traveling wife that America would eventually win the ongoing Revolutionary War, no matter how bleak their chances look and how bad are their odds. But there will be a few other concerns and risks to be checked as well. The fight for the ultimate winner would not guarantee any form of safety. And the worst of all, the chances of targeting a weapon on his young son who was a young officer serving in the British army used to haunt every thought of Jamie.

An Echo in the Bone from the Outlander series is worth the wait. This beautiful book is woven together with four intriguing storylines and you will love them all. The book will take all of its followers on a highly interesting and thrilling journey to the America of 1777. It will be unfair not to mention Davina Porter here. She is a masterful voice actress and her performance in this An Echo in the Bone novel took it to another level of enjoyment. The character development was amazingly well done, especially in the case of Brianna, Roger, William, and Jeremiah.
