The audio narration of the book is done by the Blackstone Audio team. It was a super wonderful performance where each character was given a distinct voice.
Alvin was a maker and the first one to be born in over a century. As a grown-up man and also as a journeyman smith, Alvin made a return back to his family which was in the Vigor Church town.
He would work there as a blacksmith and will also share in their isolation. He would also look to teach all those who were interested in learning about a Maker. He had a vision of the Crystal City that he had to build. He knew one thing pretty well he couldn’t build that one alone. But, he has left behind some of his true friends in the Hatrack River along with a few enemies as well. The Unmaker, one of his ancient enemies discovered the new hands which could do his task of destruction. The Unmaker was also known for his deadly plots and cruel whispers which threatened the life of Alvin at almost every turn.
This is a beautiful book from a beautiful series. The author weaved some religious undertone to the story and that was one thing that may diverge some audience from the narrative.
