St. Mary is once again in trouble and that has been the routine of the series by Jodi Taylor. Every time Max jumps into a different timeline she comes back with big trouble chasing her to the end of times. So many times in the past Max has saved the school along with the students present in her history class.
Max gets the chance to work with Leon again and the two forms nice coordination between them. Together they visit the seventeenth century and take a look at Ancient Egypt. Then till lunchtime, the two reach the fourteenth century after which things go a little nasty for them. They try to run back to the school but the trouble follows them in their timeline and the fate of the school and the timeline is at stake again.
Zara Ramm narrates the heat which terrorizes the whole group of students this time; after all, it is a matter of their existence. Things speed up the same as Just One Damned Thing After Another and Hard Time after a few chapters. There are no big turns and twists in the novel but at different spots, we get the chance to enjoy the humor which has been one of the basic ingredients of this series.
Comic scenes also have some romantic moments too that are most of the time destroyed by the haste in which the characters are because of the alteration in the timeline. Many devils attack the school at the same time and Max along with Leon tries to get rid of this evil as early as possible.
